St.
Paul's Cathederal - Completed in 1708 but still
looks fresh and modern. Christopher Wren designed it after
the previous St Paul's was destroyed by fire. It's size
is awesome. The Cathedral is 157 meters long and 76 meters
wide. The ball on top of the dome is big enough to hold
10 people. It became even more famous since it was where
Prince Charles married the late Princess Diana, the greatest
fairy tale wedding of the century. In the Crypt there are
the great tombs two of Britain's most famous military men,
Nelson and Wellington.
Changing of the Guard at Buckingham
Palace - You alight in The Mall and make our
way to the Queen's residence (she's in if the flag is flying).
You can witness the magic of the famous Changing of the
Guard. When the Guard Change does not operate at Buckingham
Palace, then you visit the Horseguards Parade.
English Pub Lunch - We've selected a lovely
old London pub for lunch - lots of atmosphere!
Westminister Abbey - Scene of
coronations of Kings and Queens of England since 1066. The
Abbey is the resting place of Monarchs, Statesmen, Poets
and Heroes. (Photo stop only).
Ancient City of
London and Docklands - This is the oldest part
of London and houses most of our financial and legal institutions.
You will see our Stock Exchange, Bank of England and many
other famous institutions. Time and traffic permitting you
will venture into the outskirts of the Docklands where billions
of pounds of investment has gone to turn the old docks areas
into some very fine restaurants and residences.
The Tower of London and Crown Jewels - An awesome
medieval fortress dating back 900 years. Here you can feel
the real pulse of English History around us. Your guide
will tell you of the Tower's use as fortress, prison, palace
and a place of brutal execution! The highlight of the visit
must surely be the dazzling display of the fabulous
Crown jewels in there new settings.
Thames tea cruise - A cruise back up
the Thames to Charing Cross enjoying tea & biscuits
en-route.
This tour finishes at approximately 6pm.
